If you knew you couldn’t fail…

If you knew you couldn’t fail…

“No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others.” Psalm 25:3 NLT

I was encouraged when reading this verse today, especially the first part.  No one who trusts in the Lord will ever be “disgraced” or put to shame for doing that.  The challenging question that I came away with when thinking and praying about ways to apply this verse in my life was this: “What would you attempt for Jesus, if you knew you wouldn’t fail (or be disgraced)?”  What bold step of obedience or sacrifice would you take for God’s glory? Who would you share your faith with that you’ve been meaning to?

A follow-up question might be, “What would prevent me from doing this then?”  According to this verse, a lack of faith could prevent us.  We must be one who “trusts” God if we are to claim this promise.  Take some time this week and join me in reflecting on this verse and ask God something like, “Lord, what do you want me to attempt for Your glory today (or this week, or this year)?”

Have a great week and hopefully you can join us and share some of your answers to these questions at our Friday Night Fuel meeting at the Mihalys house this week!
